Training partners Trent Busuttin and Natalie Young have been granted permission to train more than 100 horses from Cranbourne’s training complex.
Cranbourne Turf Club announced that Busuttin and Young have been allocated an additional 40 boxes, allowing them capacity of 115 horses stabled at one time.
Busuttin and Young have enjoyed an excellent season, winning Group Two races with The Holy One (NZ) (Tavistock) (Stutt Stakes), Acting (NZ) (Savabeel) (Thousand Guineas Prelude) and Letzbeglam (Snitzel) (Blue Diamond Fillies Prelude).
Letzbeglam is one of two juveniles from the Busuttin and Young partnership set to run in Saturday’s Blue Diamond Stakes, the other being Tagaloa (Lord Kanaloa), who was their first-ever Melbourne two-year-old winner at The Valley last November.
The stable has prepared 55 Victorian winners this season, placing them fourth on the premiership table.
Cranbourne’s training complex, which accommodates more than 1000 horses, is set to become even more pivotal with several Caulfield-based trainers expected to relocate to the facility when training ceases at Caulfield in November 2023.
