A Gr.1 New Zealand Oaks (2400m) path is in the offing for promising filly Sealed With A Kiss (NZ) (Tarzino) after she won on debut over 1200m at Hastings on Wednesday.
The three-year-old daughter of Tarzino won a 1000m trial at Avondale in the lead-up to the race and trainer Mark Walker was pleased with her 1-1/4 length winning performance at Hastings.
“She’s an exciting filly and it was a really good win, considering it was only 1200m and given her pedigree to go further,” he said.
“She’s a big, scopey, filly with a bright future, that Dave (Ellis) bought at the Ready To Run Sale, and we’d like to think she could keep developing and stepping up to be an Oaks contender.”
Sealed With A Kiss was purchased by Te Akau principal David Ellis out of Lilywhites Lodge 2021 New Zealand Bloodstock Ready To Run Sale draft for for $250,000.
