What the jockeys said:

1st: Sherwood Forest       Michael Walker
The horse was brilliant today. Got a amazing run, was actually travelling too good. When the two favourites came up to me, I had a lot of horse under me. And when he drew away the last bit he was actually pulling up and waiting for them. Fantastic training effort by Tony and his staff deserve all the credit and I’m thankful of the opportunity.

2nd: Two Illicit          Vinnie Colgan
Super effort. The winner just out-stayed us.

3rd: Scorpz            Danielle Johnson
He went really well. Got a little interference across the top but his last bit was super to the line

4th: Dragon Leap           Jason Waddell
Got a fantastic run on the back of Vinnie Colgan (Two Illicit). He’s a great horse in the making but didn’t quite see out the distance.

5th: Monlula          Michael Coleman
Really good run. Hit the line nicely after being dour first part of the race but hit the line good.

6th: Reggiewood      Ryan Elliot
From a bad barrier we got on the back of Dragon Leap but Danielle’s horse pulling too hard which didn’t help help us but he’s run really well last 600 metres.

7th: Den Bosch        Craig Grylls
Not a bad run. Got a good run, got held up a couple of times but he’s hit the line good.

8th: Platinum Road         Jonathan Riddell
Peaked on his run. He’s going to be a nice horse but he’s just a baby.

9th: Lochwinnoch         Sam Spratt
Really pleased with his run. Got a nice trip three back, the leader held us up a fraction but fought away nicely.

10th: Platinum Spirit            Rosie Myers
He’s a neat horse. Hopefully next year he’ll be a bit better.

11th: Shakespeare           Sam Collett
Got back further than anticipated and only battled away.

12th: Dalmatia            Sam Weatherley
This time next year, he’ll be a lovely Cups horse. He’ll improve a lot for next season.

13th: Tibetan           Leith Innes
He’s a nice stayer. Had a rough trip three wide. Needs a break now.

14th: Vladivostok             Shaun McKay
He’s was in a good spot on the corner, held up a little but he went good.

15th: Red Refus         Robert Hannam
He had a nice run but didn’t finish it off. Needs a break.

Last: Peleton            Matt Cameron
Raced like a tired horse and will go out for a break now.
