New Zealand Bloodstock’s National Yearling Sales Series catalogues are now online.
The sales series has attracted a strong catalogue of 1265 yearlings, including 677 lots in the select Book 1 Sale.
The Sale week will once again begin with the popular Karaka Million race meeting at Ellerslie Racecourse on Saturday January 25, which will feature the Karaka Million 2YO (1200m) and Karaka Million 3YO Classic (1600m), as well as three Group races.
Attention will then turn to New Zealand Bloodstock’s Karaka Sale Complex, which offers six days of selling action, commencing at an earlier time of 11am on Sunday January 26.
In another change introduced next year, Book 3 will take place on the afternoon of Friday 31 January where 115 yearlings will go under the hammer immediately after the conclusion of the Book 2 Sale.
Graduates of the sales have gone onto compete at elite level across the globe and include the likes of Kolding who won the inaugural A$7.5 million Golden Eagle (1500m) as well as the Gr.1 Epsom Handicap (1600m).
Other elite graduates include 10-time Group One-winning mare Melody Belle, Gr.1 VRC Oaks (2500m) winner Miami Bound and dual Hong Kong Horse of the Year Beauty Generation.
Other graduates that have performed at stakes-level in Australia this spring include Brutal, Surprise Baby, Probabeel, Age of Chivalry, Te Akau Shark, The Chosen One, Princess Jenni, Oceanex, Fascino, Charles Road, Gamay, The Holy One, Top Of The Range, Romancer, Vegas Jewel, Parsifal, So You Win, Gift of Power, Vegas Knight, Aspect Ratio, Conqueror, Sully, Baaqyah, Manolo Blahniq, Battenburg, Craftmanship, Relucent, Highland Jakk and Tamarack.
