Trainer Jamie Richards has this morning informed Racing NSW Stewards that Entriviere (NZ) (Tavistock), an acceptor in the Gr.3 Toy Show Quality (1100m) to be run at Randwick on Saturday, was found to be mildly lame in the off foreleg after working at Randwick this morning.
Richards advised that the mare has been attended to by the stable veterinarian and has had a poultice applied to the foot.
The Matamata trainer, whose father Paul has travelled with Entriviere and stablemate Sword Of State (Snitzel) to Sydney, has been requested to report to the Stewards on the progress of the condition on Friday.
The five-year-old daughter of Tavistock will be subject to an inspection by Racing NSW General Manager of Veterinary Services, Dr Toby Koenig prior to racing in the Toy Show Quality on Saturday.
Richards has also advised that should the mare be passed suitable to race, the intention is to ride Entriviere with cover from the outside barrier of 19 in her fresh-up assignment.
To be ridden by James McDonald, Entriviere is a dual Group Three winner and was a luckless runner-up in the Gr.2 Sapphire Stakes (1200m) at Randwick in Autumn.
