Star New Zealand filly Probabeel (NZ) (Savabeel) will not take on older horses in the Gr.1 Coolmore Classic (1500m) but will instead renew her rivalry with Funstar (Adelaide) in a Group Two race at Rosehill.

Probabeel had been posted favourite for Saturday’s Cooolmore Classic for fillies and mares but will stick to her own age in the Gr.2 Phar Lap Stakes (1500m) for three-year-olds over the same distance.

With Opie Bosson riding stablemate Melody Belle (NZ) (Commands) in the All-Star Mile (1600m) at Caulfield, Kerrin McEvoy takes the ride on the Jamie Richards-trained Probabeel.

Probabeel’s defection to the Phar Lap leaves the John Thompson-trained Sweet Deal (Casino Prince) as favourite for the Coolmore.
