The in-form Skywalk (NZ) (Battlepaint) will line up at Kranji on Friday in the Class 1 race over 1200m.
The New Zealand-bed son of Battle Paint has had four starts this campaign for two seconds and a last-start third in February.
“Skywalk trialled well the other day (second to Gingerella on March 26),” said trainer James Peters. “Other than that 1400m race (the Fortune Bowl in January), which was a throw at the stumps, he has been consistent at his last four or five starts.”
“He carries the top weight (after War Affair) and will have to give weight to those lower-rated horses, which is never easy, though, but I’m sure he’ll run well.
Ex-pat kiwi Alysha Collett will take the ride on Skywalk.
Skywalk was sold as a yearling at the 2015 New Zealand Bloodstock Select Sale before returning as a Ready To Run 2YO later that year when purchased by The China Horse Club for $100,000 out of Regal Farm’s draft.
