New Zealand horses Probabeel (NZ) (Savabeel) and Melody Belle (NZ) (Commands) are some of the feature race contenders scheduled to continue preparations towards their new-season returns at a star-studded set of barrier trials at Randwick.
Tuesday’s barrier trials session has attracted several Group One winners among the entries along with a number of other well-performed horses being readied for feature races in the new season which begins from the start of August.
In the opening heat of the morning over 850m on the Kensington track Group One winners Con Te Partiro, Dreamforce and Kolding are among the entries along with well-performed gallopers Splintex, Star Of The Seas, Prague, Hightail and Home Of The Brave.
Con Te Partiro won two Group One races – the Coolmore Classic and Coolmore Legacy Stakes – during this year’s autumn carnival while Dreamforce broke through for his first Group One win in the weight-for-age George Ryder Stakes in March.
Group One winners King’s Will Dream and Probabeel are among the headline entries for the second heat, also over 850m on the Kensington track, while the eight horses entered for the third heat of the morning includes dual Group One winner Fierce Impact and star New Zealand mare Melody Belle.
Doncaster Mile placegetter Brandenburg and Golden Slipper placegetter Mamaragan are also among the entries for the third heat.
There are 23 heats scheduled for the trial session.
