Lost And Running (NZ) (Per Incanto) won’t be seen again this autumn, ruling him out of a rematch with Nature Strip (Nicconi) and Eduardo (Host) in the Gr.1 T J Smith Stakes.

Trainer John O’Shea said the gelding pulled up with feet issues following his unplaced run in the Newmarket Handicap and the wet tracks in Sydney were making it difficult to get him back on track.

“I have decided to pull the pin on him. His feet jarred up in the Newmarket and it has been a bit of a battle to get him 100 percent,” O’Shea told Sky Sports radio.

“We have just had no opportunity to prepare him on those heavy tracks at Randwick as well. It has been difficult.

“We are going to give him a break and just reconvene with the target being the Everest.”
